The AGL team set up in the WA natural gas market in 2017 and over this two-year period, brand awareness with WA consumers has grown from 29% in March 2017, to 78% in May 2019, with over 40,000 WA residential and business gas customers coming on board.
But for the team, it’s about more than business success.
As an essential service provider, AGL is focused on investing in the communities it works in to develop shared value for people across all walks of life.
In the past year, AGL has renewed its partnership with the West Coast Eagles AFL team until the end of 2020 and partnered with Foodbank WA to launch the AGL Metres for Miles initiative, with Eagles winger Andrew Gaff as an ambassador. Last year, our support resulted in 57,000 meals being donated by to Foodbank WA to distribute across the WA community.
We have continued our commitment and support for WA seniors through HaveAGo News, which has exceeded our expectations for 2019.
AGL sponsored the Business News WA’s ‘Rising Stars Awards’ in June, which recognises growth businesses in the state.
We have also supported all 31 WA surf lifesaving clubs across WA with the donation of 372 AGL branded nipper boards (kneeboards) to develop young life saver skills and confidence as part of our three-year partnership with Surf Lifesaving WA.
We’ve formed new business partnerships with the Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association, and several other major builders.
We have also signed our first major commercial gas site contracts, and launched the new WA Business Solutions area, which offers end-to-end solutions (including design, management, and installation) to help large and small WA businesses reduce their energy usage and costs.
Thank you WA!
We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the growth of our brand and business in the West! We’re privileged and proud to be part of the community, and we look forward to meeting the needs of our WA customers into the future.
