AGLs operational greenhouse gas footprint of our material sites and fuels can be found in our 2016 Sustainability Report.
This footprint shows the Scope 1 & 2 greenhouse gas emissions associated with AGL's material sources of emissions form operated sites within our portfolio. This includes the combustion of black coal and diesel at Bayswater and Liddell, black and brown coal and natural gas at Loy Yang A, and gas and fuel oil at Torrens Island.
These represent over 99% of Scope 1, over 90% of Scope 2 emissions, and over 99% of scope 1 and 2 emissions combined.
The emissions from Bayswater and Liddell power stations have increased compared to financial year 2014-15 , due to the 2015-16 period being the first full year of operation by AGL. Changing market conditions in South Australia led to an increase of generation from the Torrens Island gas fired power station, accounting for the increase in emissions.
