AGL Loy Yang’s mine rehabilitation and closure plans will be the topic of a community forum in Traralgon on Tuesday 24 May, hosted by AGL Loy Yang’s Environmental Review Committee.
The Latrobe Valley community has been invited to the forum which will feature an overview of AGL Loy Yang’s response to the Hazelwood Mine Fire Inquiry, and the company’s mine rehabilitation and closure plans.
The forum will include an interactive session where community members will be invited to provide their views on how AGL Loy Yang can improve its engagement with the local community.
AGL Loy Yang General Manager, Steve Rieniets said:
“We are looking for ways to improve our community engagement and invite members of the community to come along and share their views and ideas.”
“We want to spend time listening and we hope this forum will be the start of a new way for us to engage with our community.”
