AGL Energy Limited has been recognized as one of Australia's leading companies in disclosing its risks and opportunities related to climate change and greenhouse gas emissions for the eighth consecutive year.

AGL has been included on the Carbon Disclosure Project's Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) and was the only Australian utility to be named among the 21 Australian companies on the index.

This index highlights the constituent companies within the ASX200 which have displayed a strong approach to information disclosure regarding climate change. Companies are scored on their climate change disclosure and high scores indicate good internal data management and understanding of climate change related issues affecting the company.

AGL's response to the Carbon Disclosure Project's 2014 survey was awarded a climate disclosure score of 92 (out of 100), compared to an ASX200 average of 76, and a climate performance band of 'B', (responses are graded from A to E) compared to an ASX200 average of 'C'.

This performance band placed AGL in the top 25% of Australian utilities that responded to the survey.
